As we were going to press yesterday (Thursday), police were appealing for information after a robbery in Tenby. The manager of Woolworths was in possession of the day's takings when attacked from behind at the High Street store at approximately 5.55 pm on Wednesday evening. Said a police spokesman: "A large quantity of cash has been taken which was in five separate blue plastic A4-sized bags." Suspects are believed to have made good their escape via Crackwell Street. Police later made house-to-house inquiries as part of their investigations and are asking anyone with information to contact them at the town's police station on 0845 330 2000.
