A Pembroke woman has been disqualified from driving for 19 months after admitting a drink-driving charge.

Thirty-four-year-old Jolene Hannaford, of The Green, was driving her Ford Puma in Law Street, Pembroke Dock, at around 10 pm on March 30, when a police officer performed a stop-check on her vehicle, Haverfordwest magistrates heard on Tuesday.

The officer smelled intoxicants on the defendant's breath and she was arrested after a roadside test and taken to Haverfordwest police station where she provided further tests that proved positive.

She admitted that she had drunk two glasses of Southern Comfort and that she had journeyed out in her car and driven less than a mile looking for her partner.

Police also discovered that Ms Hannaford's driving licence had been revoked in 2007, which she said she had not been aware of.

Magistrates ordered the defendant to pay a total of £260 in fines and costs and disqualified her from diving for 19 months.
