The exciting Landscape Gallery at St. Davids will be set in stone - recycled stone if the National Park Authority can find enough of it.

Detailed work has begun on the project, which will see the National Park Visitor Centre at The Grove more than double in size to accommodate the gallery.

National Park projects officer, Phil Roach, said the stone spine of the existing building would be extended.

"Rather than using quarry blasted stone we are keen to re-use reclaimed material. When the original St. Davids Centre was built we bought a redundant farm building which we then demolished and the stone re-used. We are keen to do similar with the gallery and ideally to find matching stone that fits well with the existing."
