STINGchronicity, who have in the past two years established themselves as Europe's top tribute to Sting and the Police, will be playing in the Queen's Hall, Narberth on Saturday, March 2. If you were lucky enough to be there in the late 70s when the unusual and individual sound of 'The Police' hit people in the face with their blend of punk/R&B and reggae - a sound that was unique to the Police and which Sting took into his solo career with his first solo album 'The Dream of the Blue Turtles.' This also had an underline jazz/blues feel about it, and had come from working with a new band of top American jazz artists. STINGchronicitys' show had been extensively rehearsed to emulate and successfully provide the high energy performances that came from the Police's live concerts alongside the sophistication of Sting's latest shows encapsulating high tech lighting and sound production - a magical and entertaining combination. The musician line-up of this band has been hand picked for their respect and knowledge of the material, plus their outstanding musicianship. Most powerful is the uncanny sound of Ged Duffy's vocals and bass guitar technique that are eerily reminiscent of Sting. You have to pinch yourself sometimes - it is so close to the great man himself. 'Walking on the Moon'; 'Fields of Gold'; 'Roxanne'; 'Brand New Day'; 'Message in a Bottle'; 'Set Them Free' are only a few songs from their two hour show. Go and see STINGchronicity in concert and experience an adrenaline filled night of nostalgia.
