The weather did not seem to know what day it was on Saturday (writes B.S.).

March winds buffeted the daffodils, while April showers gave the Steps2Health walkers an occasional soaking. We all hoped that summertime would, indeed, clock in early on Sunday morning as per the calendar!

Most of the walkers travelled by Silcox bus to New Hedges where nearly 50 people gathered for the start of the walk.

The two routes back to Tenby offered a sharp contrast. Barbara Morris led the more energetic down the lane towards Waterwynch and then back over the North Cliff to enjoy the commanding views over Tenby.

Penny Evans's group followed the original road into town, now a peaceful, deep-set lane sheltered from the elements by the hedgerows, home to the spring flowers.

Both the high road and the low road led the walkers on interesting and picturesque routes back into town and coffee.

Tomorrow (Saturday) meet outside Somerfield 10.30 am for a local walk.
