On Saturday, St. Valentine's Day, the Steps2Health walkers spotted snowdrops, a couple of brave crocus and the odd primose (writes B.S.).
Certainly plenty of signs of spring to bring colour to a town walk on a wet and dismal morning.
Pavements provided mud-free walking and over 30 people enjoyed a companiable hour of exercise. Husband and wife team, Penny and Lyn Evans, were leaders of the two groups and also on hand were walk leaders, Barbara, Val, Janice and Gill.
All roads led back to The Albany Hotel, where pots of tea and coffee and plates of biscuits waited us.
Tomorrow (Saturday) we should certainly feel winter is behind us as the walk starts at Sardis, where spring arrived last November with the daffodils!
The Silcox 351 bus leaves from outside Somerfield at 10 am. Drivers may prefer to leave their cars in the Regency car park, Saundersfoot, as this is where the walk will end.
