Saturday morning may have been dull and damp, but the Steps2Health walkers met up in good humour as they not only looked forward to a sociable walk, but knew they would end up at one of the Christmas fayres or coffee mornings (writes B.S.).

It was the first walk planned by walks leader Penny Evans and she outlined a town walk as conditions were so muddy.

We wove in and out and around the local streets before enjoying sea views as we went across the North Walk to the harbour.

Some chose to continue around the Castle Hill, while others were lured back into town by the thought of refreshments and maybe picking up some Christmas gifts at the fayres at The Salvation Army and St. Teilo's.

Tomorrow (Saturday) we look forward to visiting once again Carew Control Tower after a walk in the vicinity.
