One of the newly trained walks leaders, Janice Tooth, led 30 Steps2Health walkers on a bracing hour-long walk on Saturday (writes B.S.). Luckily, some looming clouds did not muster together to spoil the sunny and warm morning. With Val Coates-Rees and Jill Cole on hand, the group left Tenby to access the South Beach by way of Kiln Park. Back on the Castle Beach it was left to individuals as to whether they climbed the steep steps to the Castle Hill or progressed directly into town to swell the numbers at the RAFA coffee morning in Church House. Such coffee mornings always provide a sociable and enjoyable end to the walks. Tomorrow (Saturday) meet outside Somerfield at 10.30 am for another long walk. The following week, on Saturday, June 28, our destination is Llangwm where we should meet lots of scarecrows on our walk, it being the annual scarecrow festival. It is also planned to have a pub lunch there.
