Do the Steps2Health walk leaders have some influence on the weather? (writes B.S.). Although Tenby escaped the snow there had been heavy sleet on Friday morning. But, as we have confidently come to expect, a dry slot was allocated for our Saturday morning walk before the heavy burst of rain that followed early afternoon. Perhaps the more dismal the day, the more eager are the walkers to gather together and enjoy a companionable walk. Our numbers were swelled by a visitor from Germany and two members of the Narberth Steps2Health group. Apparently some members of the Tenby group had joined the Narberth walkers on Wednesday and so encouraged at least a couple of them to make a 'return visit'. The morning brightened up and it became surprisingly warm as the pace quickened along the Esplanade and across the golf links path to Black Rock where we split into two groups. The more energetic followed Margaret Lewis and Lyn Evans past the kilns to the filling station and then back along Marsh Road to meet up for coffee in town with those who had opted for a shorter route with Barbara Morris and Val Coates-Rees. Tomorrow (Saturday), our members should be swelled even further as members of the Pembroke Dock Steps2Health group will be joining us as they are eager to enjoy a walk on our enviable beaches. All are welcome, so do meet with us outside Somerfield for a 10.30 am start. No charge!
