It was a pity none of the Steps2Health walkers thought to wear their sunglasses on Saturday (writes B.S.). The blinding sunshine, welcome after some dismally, dreary days, shone like a blazing torch to light our way. Volunteer trained walk leader Lyn Evans led us across the golf links path where we turned left at Black Rock Cottage to head for the beach. Walking back along the beach, it seemed a different season altogether from the previous day when gales and rain had dominated the weather. We have already lost some of the regular walkers to warmer climes as they have flown off, albeit temporarily, to such places as New Zealand and Egypt. But whether they will enjoy weather as lovely as we enjoyed on Saturday morning we will doubtless find out on their return!
