Members of the Steps2Health group will probably agree it is far easier to set off for a walk on a dismal morning if it is in the cheerful company of like-minded souls (writes B.S.).
So, not surprisingly, 34 walkers met up on Saturday inspite of the greyness of the day. Walks leader Brian Ward had planned a route across to Black Rock, turning left to access the beach. Brian, with Peter Thomas acting as backman, continued across the sand to Castle Beach and the harbour, while the shorter walk, with walks leaders Val Coates-Rees and Erica Ward, went up the zig-zag to The Esplanade.
All converged on Church House to support the coffee morning in aid of Plant Dewi. It was a packed house as, after a dearth of coffee mornings so far this year, it was certainly well-supported.
It was good to have Lesley join us for coffee after her stay in hospital.
Tomorrow (Saturday), the walk starts from the National Trust car park at Bosherston. Drivers meet there 10.30. Coffee will be at Aunty Vi's tearoom. To find out if there are any vacancies on the minibus leaving Tenby at 10 am, ring Val on 843951.
