Having watched two of her brothers, Marc and Tom, complete Ironman 2014, Stephanie James decided to give it a go herself this year.

Ater an excellent swim in a time of 1hr 6 mins, she smiled her way around the gruelling bike/run course which, she laughed, was to hide the pain in her legs.

She finally crossed the finishing line in a time of 15 hrs 57 mins, to be greeted by boyfriend Geoff Marsh, himself an Ironman, and family and friends.

The gauntlet has now been thrown down to other brother, Chris ‘Cone’ James, who has five years to ‘get on his bike’. Poor Cone!
