Steer clear of car crime is the message from Narberth Neighbourhood Policing Team.

PCSO Dave Henry has been targeting motorists in the Narberth car park and at the Co-op in Kilgetty issuing advice on how to prevent themselves falling victim to car crime.

PCSO Henry said: "Car crime in not a major issue for us, but we need to ensure the public are not tempting thieves by leaving items on display, particularly at this time of year when people are out buying presents."

The campaign was outlined at the Narberth Police and Communities Together meeting and it was agreed the initiative should continue in the run-up to Christmas.

The meeting also agreed extra attention should be paid to the churchyards in a bid to reduce anti-social behaviour and that high visibility patrols in the town should continue.

The next Narberth PACT is on December 1, at 7 pm, at the Bloomfield Community Centre, Narberth.
