As reported last week, students from Ysgol Greenhill School, Tenby, were selected as finalists in npower's Climate Cops SOS.
The initiative is designed to motivate the UK's greenest teens into turning their passion for the environment into a positive campaign for the Pembrokeshire area.
A team of 10, aged from 11 to 14 from Greenhill School, were chosen from entries across the UK to participate in the programme.
Last week, pupils and teachers from Greenhill took part in an exclusive workshop at London Zoo.
Hosted by Xtra Factor presenter and former Blue Peter presenter Konnie Huq, the workshop was designed to help springboard the youngsters' green ideas into real actions.
Konnie, who has supported the annual competition since its launch three years ago, continues to be impressed by the high standards of the projects that are submitted every year.
"Young people can be really innovative about solving green issues in their area," said Konnie.
"The npower Climate Cops SOS campaign helps them to get their creative juices flowing in a fun and engaging way, trying to come up with ideas and solutions to environmental issues.
"I have no doubt there'll be a few future geniuses to watch out for," she added.
The search for the most passionate green teenagers was lanuched by npower back in April, when students were asked to identify an environmental issue which affects their community.
Pupils from Greenhill impressed judges with their thoughtful and well-articulated entry film, which aims to reduce our carbon footprint through the introduction of a car-pooling scheme.
Their training at London Zoo was just the first of many innovative sessions to help inspire and motivate the pupils as they venture forward with their green projects.
Furthermore, the school, along with nine other finalist teams received a starter fund of £1,000 from npower to help bring their project to life.
Pupils at Greenhill promise this is just the start of a long term campaign which will see them lobby local companies, individuals and community groups to take better care of their environment.
