As you know, on Friday, I organised a Stars In Their Eyes Show which was held at the Cleddau Bridge Hotel, Pembroke Dock (writes Mayor of Pembroke Dock, Clr. Peter Kraus).
The evening was a huge success from start to finish thanks to my compere and singer Miss Tamsin Mathias.
We had quite a few acts performing, including a four-piece band, a duo, individual singers and some fantastic guest artists.
All the money raised from the event will be going towards funding the resurfacing of the children's ward outside play park at Withybush Hospital.
We have a long way to go as we need £20,000 to make this possible and have the park open again.
It breaks my heart to see the children look at the park and are unable to use because it is waterlogged.
The play park will hopefully be open by the summer this year with a astro-turf flooring which will then allow the children to play there all the year round.
This is a small price to pay for a child's happiness.
I am looking for other charity organisations who would like to be part of this community project.
Stars In Their Eyes raised £301 which is a good start - only £19,699 to go.
I will not stop until every penny is raised you have my word.
So don't forget, our children are our future, let us look after them the best we can.
