Children attending the Stackpole After School Club are enjoying a range of activities, thanks to the donation of an iPad computer tablet courtesy of Valero Pembroke Refinery.
The club is a voluntary committee-run organisation providing after-school care for pupils attending Stackpole VC School and children from the surrounding area. Following the donation, the club has made use of the iPad for a number of activities, and provides computer access for children who might not otherwise have computers at home.
After School Club leader Debbie Jones, said: "An iPad was at the top of the children's wish list. We use it to access the internet and help the children with their homework. And we also use it for movie making sessions, which everyone really enjoys."
Stephen Thornton, Valero public affairs manager, said: "It's wonderful that children attending Stackpole After School Club will get an equal opportunity to access these new resources, as well as develop new skills. Helping children in our local communities in this innovative and interactive way is something Valero are very proud to do."
