The girls' football team from St Teilo's Catholic School, Tenby, represented Pembrokeshire in the Urdd Welsh Schools' Football Finals held at Aberystwyth on Saturday. They earned their place in the National Finals after winning the regional event held recently at Camrose FC. Talented Holly Furlong scored all 14 goals to put them through. In their first match at Aberystwyth they drew 1-1 with the team from Caernafon. They then won 1-0 against the Swansea side, but narrowly lost 2-0 to the team from Ceredigion in a hard fought game. This meant that the Ceredigion side went through to the semi-final, having just one more point than the St. Teilo's team. However, the girls can be very proud of their performance playing at this high level. Thanks to all the parents who made the long journey. Their vocal support was much appreciated!
