Last Sunday, a joyous and festive youth carol service was presented at St. Julian's Church by talented members of the Youth Group.
Though the weather was wild and wet outside, inside the beautiful fishermen's church the singing, reciting and welcome were warm and enfolding.
At the door, we were greeted by Becky and Elizabeth and then enjoyed joining in with delightful carols and Christmas songs.
Bible readings telling the wonderful story of the events leading up to Jesus' birth were delivered by the young people and the junior choir sang a variety of lovely seasonal songs, all under the musical direction of Mrs. Judy Davies.
Curate, Rev. Alex Grace and youth leader, Heidi Griffiths, also took part in the service, which was overseen by Team Vicar, Rev. Robb Wainwright.
The members of the junior choir present were the two Bethans, Tegan, Sally, Charlie, Holly, Rhiannon and Hannah. Readings and prayers were offered by Ella, Elizabeth, Rhiannon, Sally, Becky, Hannah and Charlie.
All those who attended this special service greatly enjoyed this time of fellowship and appreciated the effort and commitment of the young people.
It is hoped that if the intended development of St. Julian's into a worship centre for young people progresses as planned, the 2013 youth carol service will be the first event to be held in the re-ordered church.
