Among matters considered and discussed at the monthly meeting of St. Mary Out Liberty Community Council were the following:

Chairman’s report: Clr. Brace reported that the Remembrance Service was well attended, with the playing of bagpipes to start the service off.

St. Anne’s Church was flooded again following the recent heavy rainfall. It was concluded that the pavement drains required clearing out.

Clr Brace would order the Christmas tree and arrange a time sutible to all for the erection thereof.

The lighting ceremony would take place today (Friday, November 29) at 6.30 pm, with mulled wine, mince pies and a carol sing-along taking place afterwards.

Budget review: The council scrutinised and discussed the 2019/20 budget and spending to date. It was considered that no changes should be made to the budget.

Planning application: 35 Garden Meadows Park, Tenby - change of use of garage to granny annex. Following consideration, the council did not have any concerns or objections appertaining to this application.

Reports from councillors: Clr. O’Donnell on behalf of New Hedges village - Reported that there are still ‘teething issues’ with the collection of trade waste in the village not taking place. County Clr Preston would advise Pembrokeshire County Council of such.

Agenda items: Grass cutting contract: The clerk advised the council that two complaints had been received appertaining to the grass in the village not being cut. The clerk reported that the contractor had been contacted who stated that the ground was too wet and was unable to fulfil his contractual obligations of two cuts a month. (Last cut noted to be August 23). The contractor advised that the grass would be cut as soon as possible.
