county councilLOR mrs. cavill's report

With regard to Tenby multi-storey car park, Clr. Mrs. Cavill said: "In view of the proposals to increase the charges at this car park and to charge throughout the winter, I have written to the director of transportation protesting at the abolition of the short stay one hour charge on the ground floor, and asking that, as the ground floor is often full, the institution of a two-hour stay on the other floors. The residents of this ward must be the greatest users of the short-term facility." Periodic electoral review of community councils: A formal review of Pembrokeshire Community electoral arrangements within Pembrokeshire was agreed at the last cabinet meeting. All community Councils will be consulted, but the time scale is very short. Responses are required by January 31. Therefore council will need to make their response at the next meeting. The main reason for this review is to provide a more equal ratio of councillors and electors throughout the county. There are of course different ratios for rural and urban areas.

Other ITEMS

It was agreed to make a request to Pembrokeshire County Council. Village matters: Clr. Hall reported that the severe weather had caused problems with the Christmas tree lighting system. It was hoped, however, to rectify the problem within a day or so. The chairman commented on the excellent display prior to the problem, and congratulated Clr. Hall and his helpers. Clr.
