The wedding took place at St. Martin's of Tour Church, Haverfordwest, on Saturday, November 25, of Mr. Patrick Joseph Dewaine and Miss Penny Frances Howells. The groom is the son of Mrs. Mary Dewaine and Mr. Selwyn Edwards, while the bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. Charles Howells and Mrs. Anne Howells. Given away by her father, the bride wore a designer gown made of ivory supreme silk taffeta, trimmed with Swarovski crystals, and a full-length veil, also edged with Swarovski crystal. Sewn into the gown was a silver thimble belonging to the bride's late grandmother, Mrs. Beatrice Morris. The bride carried a bouquet which included ivory roses and Singapore orchids. Chief bridesmaid was Miss Caroline Howells (bride's sister) who wore a full-length gown and jacket of silk dupion silk. Bridesmaids were Miss Charlotte Beattie (bride's niece), Miss Chloe Horn (bride's cousin) and Miss Jasmine Dewaine (groom's niece). They wore ivory taffeta dresses and silk dupion jackets. They each carried silk muffs to match. Page boy was Master Jacob Horn (bride's cousin). Best man was Mr. Michael Hughes (friend). Ushers were Messrs. Neil Jones, Andrew Williams, Barry Fearson, Andrew Beattie and Seamus Dewaine. The wedding ceremony was conducted by Dr. John Plessis, assisted by Canon Colin Bowen. Organist was Mr. Michael Grange, with the members of the church choir. Harpist was Miss Georgina Cornock and soloist was Miss Joy Cornock. A day and evening reception was held at St. Bride's Hotel, Saundersfoot. The couple spent their honeymoon in St. Lucia.
