Mrs. Owen Nicholl took the chair at the meeting on Tuesday. The reading was Pslam 100. Hymns were once again chosen and played by Mrs. Eluned Brown.
The speaker was Rev. John Potter, who talked about some of the women who had influenced his life, including his mother and his wife.
He also spoke of the simple faith of other women whose lives had touched his and that it was true of them all that they were happy, whatever their circumstances.
In closing, he referred to the opening line of the reading 'O be joyful in the Lord' and urged the ladies present to share this joy and to value their own contribution to the Christian life.
Thanks go to John for a most enjoyable talk, and everyone is looking forward to another visit. Thanks also to Gwen, Eluned and the ladies who made and served the tea.
