The speaker at the meeting on Tuesday was the minister, Rev. Nanette Lewis Head.
The secretary, Mrs. Gwen Nicholl, gave the notices and expressed thanks to Mrs. Margaret Walker who filled in as speaker at the last minute at the previous week's meeting, talking off the cuff of her time spent in India.
Mrs. Eluned Brown chose and played to accompany the hymns. The chair was taken by Mrs. Cynthia Jones who had chosen a reading from 1 Corinthians 13 'Love'.
It was a warm sunny afternoon and a large number of members attended, some being welcomed back after illness.
Nanette took for her text words from Isaiah 43, "I have called you by name and you are mine." An encouraging message and comforting words to take away.
Next Tuesday, February 20, at 2.15, the speaker will be Rev. J. Potter.
