On Monday, the St. Johns Craft Group met in the small hall of the church, as the large hall had the Arts Club summer painting exhibition in it, which the craft group people enjoyed looking at as well. This week, the group did pottery, painting pottery already made, pencil drawing, knitting, card-making, cross-stitch, and stained glass pictures. Also Carol gave a talk about 'colour wash' painting, finishing with a description of chalk paint. The group meets every Monday 2 - 4 pm, £2 with a cuppa and biscuits included, and most materials. Good conversation takes place, as well as the crafts, and anyone is welcome to come and join in, to do a craft, or just to have company for a couple of hours. A crochet demonstrator is needed, and demonstrations of any skills are appreciated. Bring your own craft, or try a new one. Come and enjoy this friendly group.
