Last Sunday, the story of the nativity was touchingly told by Rachel, Lara and Molly, with the aid of some younger members of the junior church.

The choir opened the service by singing 'Once in Royal David's City' and then the three girls took over to tell the age-old story that is so familiar, but seems new each year.

They interspersed readings from the Bible with prayers and writings by various authors. Rachel read a charming verse called 'The Littlest Christmas Tree'.

The fourth candle on the Nativity Ring was lit and more readings and the telling of the life of Jesus followed, along with well-known carols.

The service concluded with the three girls being joined by a young Joseph and Mary and little Jessica, as quite the smallest angel, who took an instant liking to the baby. All the congregation then joined together to sing 'Hark the Herald Angels Sing'.

Many thanks go to Rachel, Lara and Molly for the wonderful way in which they retold the Christmas story.

The service on Sunday will be conducted by the Rev Chris Reese and will commence at 11 am.

Everyone is most welcome. Come and join us.
