St. James' Church, Manorbier, was fortunate to have two services last Sunday.
The morning Eucharist was celebrated by team vicar, Rev. Shirley Rayner, with Bob Lewis, reader, preaching.
Evensong was well attended, and included a meditation.
The service this Sunday is a celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 11.15 am. A warm welcome is extended to all to share in worship, especially to those visiting the area. The church is also open daily from 9.30 am - 6 pm, and there is excellent disabled access.
Thank you: The congregation of St. James' Church must raise a large sum of money to keep the church open, and they would like to thank the people of Manorbier and the surrounding villages who steadfastly and generously give, not only material things, but their time and effort to support the church. Special thanks also go to those church members who serve on various committees and who dedicate so much of their time in organising different events.
As well as this a huge thank you to all who came along (including the many holiday-makers) to the Grand Fete in the castle recently. Approximately £6,800 was raised this year. On behalf of St James' Church, thank you all.
