The Holy Eucharist service last Sunday was taken by the vicar, Rev. Victor Millgate. We were celebrating Pentecost 7, with readings from Trinity 6, Jeremiah 23, Paul's Letter to the Ephesians 2 and the Gospel from Mark 6.

The Lord promised he would raise up for David a righteous branch and he would reign as King, deal wisely and execute justice.

In the second lesson, we learn that Christ has broken down the dividing wall, he is the cornerstone for the future and reminds us that we are citizens with the Saints, also members of the household of God.

Jesus and the apostles crossed by boat to Gennesaut for a quiet retreat, but Jesus was recognised, the word spread rapidly and then the sick were brought to him, and all who touched his cloak were healed.

The service this week will be Holy Eucharist, commencing at 11.15 am. Everyone is assured of a warm welcome.
