Evensong last Sunday evening was led by the Vicar, the Rev. Victor Millgate, and the congregation was reminded that they were still celebrating the Easter season.
The Vicar's sermon was based on the two appointed readings for the day which emphasised it was not only our belief in God, but that our faith in him is essential. Sometimes God's ways are hard to understand, but if we follow his example shown to us through Jesus Christ his son, have faith and trust in him, this will carry us through the hard times in our lives and to share in His heavenly Kingdom. We should live that life of faith so that those who know us, will want to walk with us.
Fair Trade goods were available to purchase after the service. The Vicar reminded members it is part of their outreach to help those who supply these goods to receive a fair return for their labour.
You will be pleased to note that the May Fayre on Bank Holiday Monday was well attended.
The service this Sunday, May 10, is a celebration of Holy Eucharist commencing at 11.15 am, you will find a cordial welcome is extended to all.
