The congregation at St. Issell’s Church recently gave congratulations and thank you to Rosemary Hayes MBE for completing 29 years serving as People’s Warden. During this time, she has welcomed many people into the church and played a huge part in the life of the church. She has also been secretary to the PCC, led the WI and sung in the choir to name but a few of her roles over the years. During the last 12 months, Rosemary has spent time training two new church wardens -Hannah Karpaty and Pauline Tiffen. Hannah says: “Rosemary has spent so much of her time teaching me to set-up the church ready for services. It has been lovely to be able to learn from someone with so much experience behind them. If I could be half as good as Rosemary has been throughout all the years then I will be pleased.” A presentation was made to Rosemary on behalf of the congregation by Rev. Marianne Osborne. Rosemary will continue to be a member of the choir and to serve during the Eucharistic services.
