St. Florence has won the Calor Gas Village of the Year 2002 Award for Pembrokeshire. At a special presentation on Thursday evening, chairman of the St. Florence Community Association, Hywel Probert was presented with a commemorative plaque by the Hon. Robin Lewis on behalf of sponsors Calor Gas and the Carmarthen Rotary Club. The village will now go forward to represent Pembrokeshire and West Wales in the next regional stage of the competition.
