The B4138 between Heatherton and Manor Park in St Florence is due to see safety improvements shortly, including a reduction of the speed limit to 40mph.
“Signage is already up to inform residents, and I’ll share the confirmed start date for works as soon as it’s available,” said county councillor for the ward Cllr Rhys Jordan.
St Florence Community Council has been proactively carrying out speed surveys, and the village is exploring a number of potential road safety improvements, including better pedestrian access, clearer signage, and traffic-calming measures.
“These things take time and money, which is increasingly scarce but we’re committed to making progress,” continued Cllr Jordan.
“Whether it’s this term or the next - I’ll keep pushing for safer streets in our villages.”
