The marriage took place, recently, at Holy Trinity Church, Pontnewydd, Cwmbran, of Mr. Ian Aston and Miss Katherine Parsons. The groom is the son of Geoffrey and Eiona Aston, of St. Florence, while the bride is the eldest daughter of David and Pat Parsons, of Pontnewydd. Given away by her father, the bride arrived at the church in a burgundy vintage 1936 Rolls Royce. Attending her as bridemaids were Debbie Langton (bride's friend), Gill Parsons (bride's sister) and Charlotte Coakley (bride's daughter), while flower girl was Caroline Coakley (bride's daughter). Best women were Sarah Rapi and Joanna Hurren. Page boy was Thomas Emmanuel (groom's nephew), while ushers were Chris Coakley (bride's son), David Langton and Paul Rapi. Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Commodore Hotel in Cwmbran. The couple spent their honeymoon in Paris.
