St. Mary's Church, Tenby, was the setting for the wedding on Saturday, January 3, of Mr. James Gareth Brace and Miss Kelly Jane John.

The groom is the younger son of Wynford and Pat Brace, of St. Florence, while the bride is the only daughter of Derek and Sheila John, of Manorbier.

Given away by her father, the bride entered the church to Jeremiah Clarke's trumpet voluntary, played by Mathew Birch.

She wore a full-length ivory strapless dress, with a high collared jacket, with blue crystal beading, made by Barbara Cusworth, of Saundersfoot. She also wore a tiara of blue and clear crystals, made by Penny Fowler, of St. Florence, and carried a bouquet, which included royal blue roses.

The bride was attended by chief bridesmaid Ceri Wyn Rawson, her best friend from university, and bridesmaid Emily Farr, a close family friend, who wore royal blue satin dresses and carried bouquets of white roses.

Flower girl was Beth Brace, groom's niece, who wore an ivory dress with royal blue, and page boy was Benjamin Brace, groom's nephew.

Best man was Barry Morgan, groom's friend, and the ushers were Austyn John (bride's brother), Damian Brace (groom's brother) and Alex and Jonathan Alderman (groom's cousins).

During the service, Mozart's Laudate Dominum was beautifully sung by St. Mary's Church Choir, with chief bridesmaid as soloist. The choir was accompanied by Andrew Cusworth, organ scholar, and Mathew and Andrew Birch on violins.

During the signing of the register, the choir sang Monteverdi's Beatus Vir and Ave Maria by Rachmaninov.

The ceremony was conducted by Canon David Jenkins and Rev. Nigel Griffin, chaplain to Morriston Hospital. The organist was Dr. John Harrison.

The flowers in the church were superbly arranged by the ladies of the church.

The wedding reception was held at Heywood Mount Hotel, where 145 guests enjoyed a wonderful evening.

During the reception, the couple cut a magnificent three-tier wedding cake, which had decorative features depicting the bride and groom's hobbies.

The newly-weds have just returned from a month's honeymoon with family in Melbourne and Sydney, Australia, and are making their home in St. Florence.
