Last Friday, Tenby Swifts U7s, 8s and 11s travelled to St. David's for an end of season rugby tour, with the U9s and 10's unable to make the trip. The U7s went with 20 players and played two games against their U8s, while the U8s played St. David's 9s and the U11s played tag rugby against their Under 10s. Tenby U7s played two games, with the Tigers taking the field first. Strong running from Harry Cook and Ben James gave Tenby the upper hand early on, with Dominic, Finn and Jamie also creating plenty of chances. The two Harvey's and Daniel had excellent games in defence and attack, while Alex, Harry Evans and Jack all played their first games without any trouble at all. Coaches Doc Kelly and Richard James were very pleased as they drew against St. David's U8s. The Sharks U7s also had a good game, winning by seven tries to six against St. David's U8s. Iori and Ben marshalled the troops in defence, which created many chances, with Max scoring two tries and Thomas and Harri W. both running the length of the pitch to add a couple of others. The ever-present William Swales also scored two tries, which was reward for his excellent support work. Dylan was captain for the day, while Henry and Gethin had superb all-round games, especially in defence. The games were played in a very good spirit on an excellent evening. Afterwards all the children had a barbecue, with a disco also being held at the St. David's clubhouse. Chris would like to thank all the children, parents and coaches who made the trip and especially Carwyn and St. David's Rugby Club for holding an excellent evening, which everyone is looking forward to again next year. Special thanks go to Alan Brindley for keeping everyone entertained in the bar long into the night.

Under 8s   The Under 8s had a great trip to St. Davids on a hot June evening (along with tents and sleeping bags!) to give their final performance of the season. A big thank you to St. Davids Rugby Club for hosting and Chris Williams for organising the event, all of the coaches and everyone involved. In a fast game of tag, the match ended in a high scoring draw, Tenby Under 8s nine tries  St. David's Under 9s nine tries. Pictured are back row: Coaches Jim Kinnear and Carl Wainwright.
