Sunshine brought the crowds to Saundersfoot Harbour last Wednesday, April 23, much to the advantage of the Saundersfoot committee of Macmillan Cancer Relief who had chosen that date to hold a sale of cake, plants, books and bric a brac there.

There was a busy atmosphere, so event co-ordinators, Cynthia Scourfield Lewis, Jill George and Nesta Williams, with other committee members and helpers, stayed on duty from 9.30 am to 2.30 pm when most of the wares had been sold.

The £543 raised was a record for the Macmillan committee's fund-raising event on the harbour at this time of the year. The money raised will help cancer patients and their families.
