County Councillor Wynne Evans, of Narberth, will be out and about in the town tomorrow (Saturday) spreading the orange bag message. He will be in the vicinity of the blue bench in High Street from 10.30 am until 1 pm talking to people about the newly-launched recycling scheme and answering questions. Clr. Evans will also be handing out information leaflets explaining what can and cannot be placed in the orange bags. "I know that orange bags were delivered to households in the Narberth town area last week, with surrounding areas on the list to receive theirs in the next couple of weeks," said Clr. Evans. "Narberth has a very good reputation for recycling, with the recycling banks situated on Town Moor being one of the best used sites in the south of county, and I hope this continues." Added Clr. Evans: "Booklets are also available from my office or you can contact 08456021386 about the scheme. Collection days will be the normal collection days of Tuesday and Wednesday. "Glass cannot be put in orange bags, and I would encourage all householders to use the recycling banks in town for that type of waste. "A small number of people have purchased wheelie bins and again all contents must be bagged in the appropriate bags. I ask that you all support this very worthwhile scheme as every little helps towards our environment." Clr. Evans would like to hear from anyone in the Narberth town ward who has yet not received their bags so he can arrange delivery of them.
