Following the success of the women's and girls' golf taster day, South Pembs Golf Club are holding a men and boys' taster day on Saturday, June 25. If you ever wanted to try golf, now is your chance. Equipment is provided and tuition is given by a PGA golf professional. After the day you will have the opportunity to sign up for a course of six lessons... free. A Tri-Golf activators training course is being run by Golf Development Wales at the Haverfordwest Tennis Dome on Thursday, June 16. The course is suitable for people involved in junior golf and is a very basic introductory course. Those attending will become familiar with the equipment so as to be able to deliver safe and effective Tri-Golf games to groups of children. Disability Sport

Ever fancied fishing? Free introductory lessons in the art of coarse fishing by former world champion Ian Heaps are being held at Holgan Farm Coarse Fishery, Llawhaden. Experienced tutors will also be on hand. The lessons are open to all, from eight to 80 year olds, and tackle and bait will be provided. Sponsored by Pembrokeshire Rivers Trust and Environment Agency Wales, there will be a choice of two sessions: 10 am - 12 noon or 2 - 4 pm. They are suitable for those with a disability. Football sessions are being held at Sir Thomas Picton sports hall on Sunday, June 12. Junior school age session is between 10 and 11 am, with senior age group running between 10.30 am and 12 noon. Football

A football festival is being held for the Tenby family of schools at Greenhill School on Monday, July 11. The Football Leaders award being held on June 11 and 12 is now full. The next course is due to held in September. A first aid course is being planned for July at Clarbeston Road FC. The course is dependant on sufficient numbers to run. Pembrokeshire Schools Football Association is holding trials for under 11s, 12s, 13s, 14s, 15s and 16s at Bridge Meadow, Haverfordwest, on Wednesday, June 29, Thursday, June 30, Wednesday, July 6, and Thursday, July 7.
