Pupils, staff, parents, friends and governors at St. Oswald's VA School, Jeffreyston, enjoyed a thoroughly brilliant Sports Day and School Fete last week.
Mr. Maurice Cole kindly offered to be the official race starter and ensured that all competitors were ready to begin each race on time.
Seen in the picture below are the four school house teams of Caradoc, Elidyr, Leonard and Jeffrey, arranging themselves for the tunnel ball event.
As the afternoon progressed, points were collated and recorded. The winning house was Elidyr with a fantastic 312 points.
Mr. Wybert Bendall, chairman of the governing body, presented the winning house captains, Emily Jenkins and Jack Canning, with the Wycraft Sports Trophy.
Following the sports, the Friends of St. Oswald's organised a summer fete and barbecue, which was throughly enjoyed by everyone.
A huge thank you to everyone for making the second sports day at St. Oswald's such a memorable occasion.
