It has been a successful sporting year for Poyer House at Templeton School, winning both the Swimming Gala and School Sports.
The Sports Day was held on Monday, July 5, in bright sunshine. Every child in school competed well and tried their hardest. Poyer emerged winners with 317 points, closely followed by Mounton with 311. Sentence and Templar were third and fourth, respectively.
The PTA are to be thanked for providing refreshments.
Sophie Williams received the Victrix Ludorum, Kial Keane the Victor Ludorum, Taz Traylor the Berian Vaughan trophy for the most outstanding performance on sports day and Georgia Roderick the Templeton WI award for best infant performance.
Sophie Williams, Andrew John and Sean Thomas were the sports captains for Poyer House.
Kirsty Rice and Christopher Thomas were the swimming captains.
