The members of Wisemans Bridge Rowing Club wish to extend their thanks to Rob Kemble, of the Wisemans Bridge Inn, for his generosity in purchasing sweatshirts and polo shirts for all club members. Also thanks to Glenn Freebury, of Carpentry Services, and Guy Allum, of A1 Servicing, Narberth, whose sponsorship provided the club with much- needed life jackets. The club is now thriving with a number of new members joining this year, some of whom have already participated in their first league races in Newport and Solva. Eight members of the club are travelling to Cork, Ireland, this month, for the Ocean to City Race, which part of the Cork 2005 European Capital of Culture festivities. Over 250 boats are expected to take part in the 17-mile race from Roches Point to Cork City. Anyone interested in longboat rowing is welcome to go along to a training session and give it a try.
