Tomas, 13, Jac, 11, and Alys Webb, 7, from Narberth, have taken part in the sponsored swim to help Save Narberth Pool.

Although all three children learnt to swim with Martin James in Kilgetty, they did all their Learn to Swim badges in Narberth Pool. They have also been lucky enough to have swimming lessons as pupils of Narberth School.

Both boys now swim competitively with Haverfordwest Seals, attending galas all over Wales. Without the start that Narberth Pool gave them, they would not be swimming to such a high standard today.

Alys, although only seven, looks likely to follow in their footsteps.

In the sponsored swim that is being held every afternoon at the pool from 12 - 3 pm during half-term, Tomas swam 200 lengths, which is 4000m, Jac swam 160 lengths, 3200m and even Alys swam 34 lengths which is 680m.
