Huge cheers sent four cyclists off on a gruelling charity bike ride on Wednesday.

In memory of Lee Bonsall, 24, who was found hanged by his wife at their home in Tenby, after he suffered in silence from 'Post Traumatic Stress Disorder' (PTSD), wife Serena, best friends Martin Sebesta and Adam McClune and cousin Ryan Hickinbotham, set off on their four-day 214-mile cycle which will take them from Tenby to Warsop, Nottinghamshire, where Lee grew-up.

Vice-chairman of Pembrokeshire County Council, Clr. Arwyn Williams, and Tenby town councillor, Clr. Mrs. Sue Lane, were among those to wish them good luck, while members of the Narberth Dynamos, Tenby Aces and Towy Riders escorted them on the first leg of the journey.

The quartet will also be joined by friends and members of Lee's family, together with representatives of various cycling clubs along the route.

All money raised will be donated to Combat Stress, the veterans mental health charity, to help support others who suffer from life-changing illnesses like Lee did.

The riders can also be followed on Facebook at Lee Bonsall Memorial Bike Ride or on Twitter on @SerenaBonsall.
