SPENDING Christmas on duty with the Royal Navy in Iraq will be Oliver Dugmore who hails from Saundersfoot. A former pupil at Saundersfoot CP School and Greenhill School, Tenby, Oliver or Ollie as he is affectionately known has been in the Royal Navy since 2003 and served on HMS Argyll's ship's company since 2004. Twenty-three-year-old Ollie's primary role on board is in the ship's galley, but he has also worked maintaining the provisions storerooms and is in charge of the forward firefighting team when the ship is at Action Stations. Ollie enjoys working on HMS Argyll for 'the people, the enthusiasm and the atmosphere' and his particular speciality is cooking up a good lasagne. Flanker for the ship's rugby team, Ollie enjoys the opportunities the Navy provides for sport and fitness training. He is looking forward to the challenges of the ship's deployment to the Gulf and hopes to soon be selected for Leading Hand. Ollie, who will be home again in Saundersfoot in April, wishes all his family and friends in Saundersfoot and Tenby, a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
