An 18-foot speedboat, 2D's, with two persons on board, reported engine failure and was drifting dangerously close to rocks off Lydstep Beach on Saturday.

The vessel however restarted its engine and managed to get to Lydstep Haven unassisted.

The range safety vessel, Smit Neyland, was requested to assist with locating the casualty and Tenby coastguard team were tasked to Lydstep to gain vessel details and give appropriate safety advice.
