Candidates studying for London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art qualifications achieved excellent results in a recent examination session held at Greenhill Centre in Tenby.
The 16 students who had been attending Community Education classes run by Jillian Rawlins reached exceptional standards gaining marks ranging from 73 to an amazing 89 per cent. Five Honours grades and eight Distinctions were awarded to this talented group.
Success in LAMDA Grade Examinations in Acting and Speaking of Verse and Prose was achieved by the following students, Duncan Warren (Grade 2); Polly James (Grade 5); Angharad Scourfield, Rebecca Nicholas, Sita Thomas (Grade 6); David Warren (Grade 7); Rachael Hannah Bush, Kate James, Louise Bird, Lesley James, Shirley James, Linda Cole, Belinda Vickery (Grade 8).
Special praise is reserved for the three students who passed the advanced Bronze Medal in Speaking of Verse and Prose, Simon Smith and Oliver Hopkins and Richard Kiess who were both awarded Honours in this demanding examination.
