A special targeted auction sale to benefit young and emerging artists in Wales is planned to take place in an online format in early December.

The auction is open to all living artists in Wales and is designed to provide a platform for them to develop their standing and grown an on line presence.

It is the idea of Nigel Hodson, principle of Peter Francis, the auctioneers in Carmarthen, who is quoted as saying that, during his over 40 years in the business, he has often been approached by struggling artists to market their works and how difficult it is to sell such lots without the artist having an established track record. He feels this sale will provide the means for such local talent to become more established and known generally.

Whilst in an online only bidding format, the auction will view in the salerooms on Friday, December 4, and will form part of a sale that also includes wines, spirits and related items from various vendors and cellars. Further entries are invited.
