Another sparkling concert at Saundersfoot's Regency Hall raised over £500 for Cancer Research UK on Saturday night.
Returning to the hall a year after playing at its opening concert, Goodwick Brass Band was joined by the effervescent Carew-based choir Quaynotes to delight their audience with a splendid programme.
For the first time under guest conductor Paul Jenkins, Goodwick presented a number of favourite items, including the resounding Toccata in D Minor and the powerful Sing, Sing, Sing as an encore.
Soloists Gareth Trott (euphonium) and Geraint Harries (tenor horn) were at their immaculate best with Myfanwy and Over the Rainbow, respectively.
In their own superbly constructed programme, the talented Quaynotes were conducted by Dave Howells and accompanied by Eileen Thomas in some memorable numbers, including Aquarius from the musical Hair, Hallelujah, Somewhere and One Voice.
President of the Saundersfoot branch of Cancer Research UK, Mrs. Rosemary Hayes MBE, announcing the £500 proceeds, thanked the artists and everyone for their support.
