Sir,

I wish to suggest that Tenby consider a walkway and cycle path across the South Beach over the sand dunes and bushes that were created when the Ritec Estuary was dammed up some 200 years ago. It would give walkers and cyclists access to the panoramic views and to Penally, Giltar and need not affect the Tenby Golf Links. Property could be developed the town end of the proposed route. The South Beach Pavilion of Mr. Shanly could also be reconstructed as he was a man so well ahead of his time. The council went backwards in time allowing this amazing statement of 1920s architecture to be removed. It is hard to imagine what modernised flats in that grand building would fetch today. We will of course have to take certain political and economic decisions to get Tenby back into top form, but the town already featured this summer in a key report placing it among the best 10 seaside tourist resorts in Britain.
