My extended family (of over 30) and I were in the process of planning a holiday to Tenby during June/July next year, but are horrified to see that Tenby has no Minor Injuries Unit and that the nearest A&E facility is over 40 minutes away by car.

Is this true? I am amazed. What happens when somebody gets ill? Have you extra ambulances to cope with this?

With this in mind, we have decided to go to Cornwall instead as with several elderly people and a pregnant lady, we need to know that we'd be able to get to hospital should the need arise.

Sorry, Tenby - we were all really excited about our first visit, but have had to cancel our hotels.
