It was with great sadness that members of Tenby and District Soroptimist International received the news of the recent death of founder member, Dr. Olga Ryland.
Dr. Ryland was president in 1956-1957, a past secretary and also Friendship Link secretary for many years. Even when her health prevented her from attending meetings, she always retained a very keen interest in all SI and other local news.
She will be greatly missed by club members and the local community, which she served as a GP for many years.
The first meeting of the Book Club was held at the home of member Joan Stace last Wednesday.
Several members will attend the regional meeting at Aberavon tomorrow (Saturday).
A business meeting will be held at the home of Pam Maggs, South Cliff Hotel, to replace the cancelled meeting.
Tenby SI quiz will also be held at South Cliff Hotel on Tuesday, March 3.
To celebrate International Women's Day, a late breakfast is being held at Tenby Scout and Guide Hall.
